Wikipedia, one of the most frequently referenced sources of the 21st century, defines Children's Literature in a similar way: "Children's literature or juvenile literature includes stories, books, magazines, and poems that are created for children."Piccolo&nbsp;focuses on this approach:&nbsp;It is highly cultural to regard childhood as if it's only essential since it's a phase towards adulthood. Or, perhaps, a child is an extension of an adult. The spectrum of these perceptions is constantly changing and transforming. This magazine focuses on those who do not approach Children's and Young Adult Literature from an ageist perspective and think that the audience should not be limited to a certain age period—it is a genre.</div><h2 fr-original-style="" style="margin: 0px; color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.85); font-weight: 500; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">On a personal note: Why is an editor interested in the genre of Children's and Young Adult Literature?</h2>I was only 9 years old when I first realized that I wanted to be a writer. 16, when I decided to study literature—keeping in mind the positivist culture that glorifies only becoming a lawyer or a doctor in Turkey, let me recognize my privilege: my biggest supporter was my mother. Still, I remember the reaction I got when I first opened up about my writing career to the other adults: “There's no money in that business.”At the time, J.K. Rowling, who is now wildly known for her transphobic comments, was the first person to become a millionaire with a book series. As a matter of fact, this was the only example of the creative industries and our rigid capitalist reality was summing up our society's approach to writing as an income source.&nbsp;A 17-year-old me, who was preparing for university exams, after the events that I intend to explain in a moment, then decided to study Comparative Literature. This time they asked: “Have you finished reading the classics?” Now when I look back, it's as if adulthood automatically came with a desire to dominate—their conditions were never-ending.
